A.S.98 Canada — Return & Exchange Policy

We want you to feel confident when ordering from A.S.98 Canada. If your item is not the right fit, you may request a return, exchange, or store credit within 14 days of delivery, depending on the item’s discount level.

A.S.98 footwear is handcrafted in Italy using premium leathers and artisanal finishes. Because each pair is carefully made and shipped individually, we keep our return policy clear, fair, and easy to follow.

Canadian customers receive one free even exchange per order for another size or colour, subject to availability.


Return Window

You have 14 calendar days from the date your order is delivered to request a return or exchange.

Requests submitted after this period cannot be accepted.


Condition of Returned Items

Returned items must be:

  • Unworn
  • Undamaged
  • Returned in the original A.S.98 shoe box and packaging

Please try footwear indoors on a clean surface until you are sure of the fit.

Returns showing signs of wear beyond normal indoor try-on, or returns missing original packaging, may be refused.


Canadian Returns

For eligible Canadian returns, we provide a prepaid return label.

If you are returning for a refund or store credit, the cost of the prepaid return label and a $15 CAD processing fee are deducted from your refund or store credit.

The $15 CAD processing fee applies once per order, not per item.


Canadian Exchanges

We offer one free even exchange per order for another size or color, subject to availability, on full-priced items only.

For eligible Canadian exchanges:

  • No return label fee
  • No $15 CAD processing fee
  • One free exchange per order

Exchanges must be initiated through our return process before sending the item back.

If the requested exchange item is unavailable, we may offer an alternative style, store credit, or another available resolution based on the item’s eligibility.


Sale Items and Final Sale Items

Items purchased at less than 20% off may be returned for a refund, exchange, or store credit.

Items purchased at 20%–39% off may be exchanged or returned for store credit, but they do not qualify for a refund.

Items purchased at 40% off or more from the original retail price are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

This applies to discounts shown on the product page and discounts applied through a promo code.


U.S. Orders

U.S. returns and exchanges are shipped back to Canada for inspection.

U.S. returns and exchanges are subject to a flat $45 USD return processing fee per order. This fee includes return shipping back to Canada and helps offset cross-border shipping and customs handling.

Duties, taxes, customs charges, and cross-border fees paid at shipment are non-recoverable once an order has entered the United States. As a result, refunds on U.S. orders may be lower than the original checkout total.


Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

In these cases, return shipping and processing fees are waived, and you may choose a refund or exchange, subject to inspection.

Natural leather variations, color differences, artisanal finishes, and minor break-in sounds are normal characteristics of handcrafted A.S.98 footwear and are not considered defects.


How to Start a Return or Exchange

To request a return or exchange, please email:

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • The item you wish to return or exchange
  • Your preferred resolution: refund, exchange, or store credit
  • The reason for your return or exchange

Please wait for return authorization before shipping your item back. Returns sent without authorization may be refused.


Processing Time

Returns are inspected within 5 business days of arrival at our facility.

Refunds are issued after inspection. Banks and card issuers may take additional time to post the credit to your account.

Exchanges and store-credit codes are processed after inspection is complete.


Store Credit

Store credits do not expire.

Unused balances remain available for future purchases.

Items purchased with store credit that are later returned are credited back to store credit, subject to the item’s eligibility.


Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled only before they enter processing or fulfillment.

If payment has already been captured, a cancellation fee may apply to recover non-refundable payment processing costs charged by our payment provider.

Customers may choose store credit for the full order value instead, in which case the cancellation fee is waived.

Orders that have shipped or entered fulfillment cannot be cancelled and are subject to this Return & Exchange Policy.
